Beautiful boat.**** Hallett 1981 Mini Day Cruiser 20 SS ****This gorgeous Hallett has only had 3 owners since she rolled out of Hallett's shop. The current owner has had her for the last 15 years. Even though she was originally built for endurance ski racing such as the Long Beach to Catalina ski race, and at one time sponsored by Budweiser, she's only been in salt water twice. This boat is fast and strong. Per the seller she's done 110 mph. Her systems were adjusted to back the speed down a little bit to the upper 90's max. Seller states that she'll do 105 mph with a full 100 gallons of fuel on board.All systems are oil cooled and all oil lines are water cooled via the braided hose pick-ups mounted to the cavitation plates. She pushes out 900 hp. This Hallett is in such nice condition that it took a 2nd place trophy in a V-Drive boat club local show in 2009.
And that's how the seller has taken care of her. She's kept in top condition, even though she's been on the water only twice in the last 2 years.
The hull is in excellent condition with no cracks. In the cockpit, the carpet and the upholstery are new as of summer of 2014. In 2013 the trailer had new bunks and carpet installed and in 2014 it received brand new bearing buddies, seals and lights.
